“Jigra,” starring Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina, is set to hit theaters on October 11, just in time for Dussehra. The film tells the poignant story of a sibling bond, focusing on Alia’s character, Satya, who has faced a tough childhood. Now, with only her brother Ankur left in her life, she embarks on a daring mission to rescue him from a foreign prison where he’s being tortured.
While early reviews are mixed, with one viewer labeling it “dull and boring,” Alia’s mother-in-law, Neetu Kapoor, praised her performance, calling it “nailed it” and giving it five stars. Directed by Vasan Bala, “Jigra” promises a blend of drama and action centered on family loyalty.
