This morning, a licensed revolver misfired, injuring renowned actor Govinda’s leg.
The event happened at the 60-year-old’s Juhu residence as he was getting ready for a trip to Kolkata.
He was sent to Criticare Hospital, where the bullet was removed surgically by medical professionals.
He will require roughly a month to recover, but thankfully his condition is stable and he should be released in a few days.
When she heard the news, his wife Sunita Ahuja, who was at the time in Kolkata, hurried back.
Govinda dropped the revolver while storing it, and that’s how it unintentionally went off, according to his manager Shashi Sinha.
His brother and daughter are among the family members who have visited him in the hospital.
He has thanked supporters for their prayers and said he feels fortunate to be alive.
Eknath Shinde, the chief minister of Maharashtra, also contacted Govinda to offer assistance and best wishes for a speedy recovery.
The firearm has been taken by the police, who are also looking into the event.
The hospital has tightened security.
